Headline Figures - Results 2016 - Year 11 & Post 16

As stated previously, we were delighted with the performance of our outgoing GCSE students and their strong performance has been demonstrated in a number of ways.

This year is the first year schools have been judged by a new progress measure –progress 8. This means all schools receive a score which details the progress GCSE students have made from their starting points in Year 7. Schools need a score of above -0.5 to pass this measure. We have scored a +0.05 which is high and shows the tremendous progress that our students made.

The 2016 Provisional League tables shows Lipson Co-operative Academy as achieving a Progress 8 score of 0.05 which puts us in the top third of secondary schools in England in terms of student progress; it also puts us in the top 4 schools in Plymouth.
