As we look forward to our Easter break, many of our older students are preparing to attend extra revision sessions during the holidays.  Teachers from most departments are offering to come in and teach Years 11, 12 and 13 in this this vital run up to the exam period.  Please look out for a timetable of sessions which will be sent home on Monday.

Sport Relief 2018 has been coordinated with an abundance of enthusiasm this week and encompassed a range of activities for students and staff to get involved in. This has included table tennis, basketball, rugby, rowing and football. The penultimate activity was an inflatable football / darts board! Running (or should I say walking!) in the background has been our Lipson 8 Step Challenge. With over two hundred members of our Team Lipson league we have been pushing those steps to get ever closer to 8 million! As I type this we currently stand at 9.9 million! We are holding out for ten million by close of play today and by Mr Williams' calculations, this is the equivalent of travelling from Lipson to the Egyptian pyramids!

Back to the 80s school musical was a great success this week with audiences enthralled by the professional performance of our students.  Thank you to all the performing arts team involved in this vibrant production and particularly to our wonderful students.

I have been so impressed to hear about some of our students representing Lipson at the 2018 Regional Championships of ‘Up for Debate’.  Jake Weir, Daisy Yarnley-Cave and Ben Brinton were fantastic ambassadors for the school at this prestigious competition.

Katey Glanville achieved the award for the best student judge for the second year running.  I am very proud of them all and am sure they have will have a career in public speaking ahead of them.

I wish you all a lovely weekend.
