Principal's Blog 5th April 2019
It is hard to believe that this is my final blog as Principal of Lipson Co-operative Academy.
After 15 years, it is now time for me to say goodbye to Lipson and move on in a new direction in my life. That doesn’t make leaving Lipson any easier as I have so many fond memories from my time here and for so long Lipson has been my family seeing me through some very happy times and also some challenges over the years. It is these times that have made my decision to move on very difficult but it is the right decision for this next phase for our new little family.
I’m grateful to governors for understanding and allowing this to happen and I leave knowing that the school is being left in very capable hands with the Interim Principal and that exciting plans are in place to ensure that Lipson thrives.
As I arrived at school for my final day, it was great to talk about how Lipson had been on ITV that morning celebrating it’s involvement in the Cultural Champions programme. Testament to what Lipson is about. Celebrating all students from a range of backgrounds and ensuring a positive education for all. Never a week goes past where our students and staff never cease to amaze me with their talents, dedication and achievements. There really is no other school like Lipson. We are unique for all the right reasons.
As I sign off from my final blog, I want to wish all students and staff well for the future and look forward to hearing all about Lipsons future success.
