Learning Equipment

Students need to be well prepared for the school day.  This means that every student needs to have a school bag and a pencil case with them each day.

Pencil Case

Contents will vary but all students should have the following items:

Essential: Ruler, pens, pencils, eraser, sharpener, protractor and compass.

Useful: Highlighter, colouring pencils and calculator


Personal Appearance

  • Discrete make-up, clear nail varnish
  • No extreme hair styles or unnatural colours
  • No facial or body piercings. One plain stud or sleeper per ear lobe, no bars or stretchers. No jewellery.
  • Please understand that not everything can be stated in the dress code. Common sense is needed.

Boys’ Uniform

  • Grey Saville row jacket
  • Grey Saville row trousers
  • Light-blue shirt
  • Academy tie
  • Blue jumper with Academy logo (optional)
  • All black or all brown polishable shoes (no trainers)


Girls’ Uniform

  • Grey Colchester jacket
  • Grey Colchester trousers or skirt
  • Light-blue Shirt
  • Academy tie
  • Blue jumper with Academy logo (optional)
  • Black or grey tights (if wearing a skirt)
  • All black or all brown polishable shoes (no trainers)
